This is a Glen Ord single malt from Signatory Vintage's Cask Strength Collection, distilled in 1997 and aged 15 years. It is a Highland malt drawn from two hogsheads and bottled at its natural strength of 60.8% ABV.
The nose shows green apple, pear skin and apricot with honeycomb, vanilla and light toffee, plus lemongrass, mint and heather. On the palate, spiced pear, barley sugar and malt loaf give way to vanilla fudge and sweet oak, and water brings out coconut and almond. The finish is long and warming, with malt, citrus zest and gentle spice.
