Glen Scotia 10 Years is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It matured entirely in first-fill bourbon barrels and is sold as the distillery's Classic Campbeltown Malt.
Glen Scotia was founded in 1832 on the Kintyre peninsula, in a region that once had more than thirty distilleries.
The nose is maritime, with apples, lemon peel and toasted oak. The palate is soft and syrupy, with brown sugar, orange marmalade and fresh pineapple, then creamy vanilla and oak. The finish is long and oily, with the gentle heat of ground ginger and cinnamon.
