A single malt from Glen Scotia in Campbeltown, distilled in March 1992 and bottled in April 2010 for Old Malt Casks. It is 18 years old, bottled at 50% ABV, and pale gold in colour.
The nose is flinty and grassy, with porridge, soot and sawdust. With water it turns to burnt oak, smoke, cut grass and freshly broken roots. The palate opens with apple liqueur, Indian spice mix, a little rhubarb and liquorice, and becomes rounder with water, with apple pie and liquorice. The finish is long and clean, with cane sugar and nutmeg.
