Glen Scotia Victoriana is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at cask strength, 54.2%, in a 750ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and carries no age statement.
The spirit is matured first in first and second fill bourbon casks. About 30% of it then finishes in first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and 70% in heavily charred American oak, each for at least 12 months, before the two parts are married for a further two months.
The nose brings caramel, brown sugar, dark berries and plums, with toasted oak and cinnamon. The palate is rich, with salted caramel, mocha and jammy dark fruit. The finish is medium, with charred wood and coffee grounds.
