This is the 2022 Seasonal Release of Glen Scotia, a 12 year old Campbeltown single malt bottled at a cask strength of 53.3% ABV. It matured in first-fill bourbon barrels and then spent 12 months finishing in Amontillado sherry casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose is maritime, with sea spray, sweet honey and caramel. On the palate, creamy vanilla and salted caramel are balanced by warming cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is nutty, with gentle cinnamon spice and a slightly dry close.
