Glen Scotia 12 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt from the distillery's core range, matured entirely in first-fill ex-bourbon barrels. It is non-chill-filtered and natural colour.
The nose opens with coastal sea spray, honeyed vanilla, ripe pineapple, green mango and citrus peel over toasted oak. The palate is oily and mouth-coating, with caramelised sugar, tropical fruit, a maritime salinity, vanilla cream and lemon zest. The finish is long, with sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, toasted oak and a last hint of sea breeze.
