Glen Scotia – 2016/2022 First-Fill Bourbon Barrel (70cl, 59.3%)

A single cask Glen Scotia from Campbeltown, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 59.3% ABV. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured in a first-fill bourbon barrel for a little over five years and filled 241 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. The cask was chosen together with Glen Scotia's master blender, Iain McAlister. The nose has sharp lemon peel and crisp green apples. On the palate there is sweet caramel and malted barley sugar, and the finish brings ground ginger and warming oak spice.
