Glen Scotia 25 Years is a Campbeltown single malt, first shown at the Campbeltown Whisky Festival on 24 May. It matured in carefully selected ex-bourbon casks, then spent a further 12 months in first-fill bourbon barrels before bottling at 48.8% ABV without chill-filtration.
The nose pairs earthy oak with a coastal breeze. On the palate it is fruity, with fresh apple, orange oil and caramel sweetness, and the coastal note lingers. The finish brings ginger and vanilla pod.
