Glen Scotia – 5 Years Exclusive Cask Selected for the Netherlands (70cl, 56.5%)

A five-year-old Glen Scotia single malt from Campbeltown, bottled as an exclusive cask for the Netherlands. It is a small batch Oloroso sherry cask release, bottled at 56.5% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matured entirely in a first-fill Oloroso hogshead and was bottled at cask strength, non-chill-filtered and with its natural colour. The first-fill sherry wood gives an intense character in which the influence of the oak and the rich sherry tones are clearly noticeable. It shows how a relatively young Campbeltown single malt can be surprisingly complex.
