This Glen Scotia is a single cask Campbeltown single malt, distilled in 2017 and bottled at 55.3% in a 70cl bottle. It is Release 3 in the Unlocked series, and the cask (#24/498-4) produced 249 bottles.
The whisky spent six and a half years in first-fill bourbon casks, then ten months finishing in Pedro Ximenez sherry. The finish adds cinnamon-baked apples, raisins and candied citrus peel to the maritime, salty character of the distillery.
Honey-soaked raisins and candied citrus peel come with ginger syrup and treacle, then baked red apple with cinnamon, ending on a lingering oak spiciness.
