This is the Glen Scotia 7 Years Old made for the 2026 Campbeltown Malts Festival. Glen Scotia works with peated barley for only a few weeks each year, and this is a medium peated malt. It matured in first-fill bourbon casks and received a Ruby Port finish. It is bottled at cask strength, 53.9%, in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill-filtration.
The nose is sweet peat smoke, ripe red cherry and creamy vanilla fudge. On the palate, juicy mandarin meets blackcurrant jam and layers of rich, smoky flavour. The finish brings cinnamon and clove, a coastal note, a little saltiness and lingering peat smoke.
