This is a 9 year old unpeated Campbeltown single malt from Glen Scotia, a limited edition bottled for the 2024 Campbeltown Malts Festival.
The whisky matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then spent at least six months in Fino sherry casks. It is bottled at a cask strength of 56.2%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
The nose brings warm spice, stewed peach and clove, with fresh floral notes and a touch of lemongrass. On the palate come molasses, caramel, plums and figs, with a hint of waxed wood. The finish is long and dry, with a little sea salt.
