Glen Scotia – Campbeltown Saga Release No. 1 Whiskyopolis Vintage 2011 (70cl, 50%)

This is the first release in the Glen Scotia Campbeltown Saga, a Campbeltown single malt from the 2011 vintage. It is bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle, in natural colour and without chill-filtration. The spirit is medium peated and was matured in first fill bourbon barrels. The casks bring fruit, vanilla and brown sugar alongside peat smoke and the distillery's maritime character. Nose and palate share the same notes: peat smoke, green apple, grilled pineapple, vanilla, brown sugar and lemon. The finish is long and smoky, with coastal minerality and salted caramel.
