Glen Scotia Double Cask is an original bottling from Campbeltown, part of the Classic Campbeltown Malt series. It is a single malt matured in first-fill bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and non-chill-filtered.
Glen Scotia comes from a small town on Scotland's west coast that grew into the 'Victorian whisky capital of the world'. The distillery held on through a strong sense of community when others disappeared, and remains one of the few survivors there.
Tasting notes mention caramel cream and toffee, sweet apple and peach, rich spice with fudge, and a hint of vanilla oak.
