This is a Glen Scotia single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It is the third release in the distillery's Double Cask range.
The whisky was matured in a first fill ex-bourbon cask, then finished for nine months in French Bordeaux red wine casks.
The distillery notes strawberry and redcurrants on the nose, with a gentle honey sweetness from the bourbon cask. The palate has ripe red fruit, smooth oak and a thread of maritime salinity. The finish is long, with lingering warmth and subtle tannic spice.
