Glen Scotia Double Cask Rum Finish is a Campbeltown single malt from a distillery founded in 1832. The whisky was first matured in American oak, then finished for eight months in Demerara rum casks from Guyana. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has a light sea breeze over vanilla, sweet caramel and tropical pineapple. On the palate come salted toffee, vanilla custard and lively citrus, with sticky molasses, fresh sugar cane juice and Caribbean fruit from the rum finish. The finish is medium in length, with lime, kiwi and English fudge.
