Glen Scotia Double Cask Rum Finish is a single malt from Campbeltown, bottled at 46% and non-chill-filtered.
It matures first in first-fill bourbon barrels, then spends eight months in Demerara rum casks. The rum character is clear but restrained, adding a fruity, lightly tropical layer without overpowering the malt.
The nose brings light pineapple and lemon with malt, vanilla fudge and a hint of rum. The palate opens softly with summer fruits before moving to exotic spice and black pepper. The finish puts the rum forward, with a touch of saltiness.
