Glen Scotia – Victoriana (70cl, 54.2%)

Glen Scotia Victoriana is a Campbeltown single malt bottled at cask strength, 54.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is a modern take on a Victorian-style Campbeltown malt, and it is not chill-filtered. Each cask is chosen by master blender Michael Henry for its character, maturity and flavour, then married in small batches. The distillery was founded in 1832. The nose offers caramelised sugar, crème brûlée and molasses, with dark red fruit such as cherry and cranberry and a little wood smoke. The palate is sweet like demerara sugar and syrup, with clove, ripe red fruit and balanced oak. The finish is long, strong and dry.
