Glen Scotia Vintage 2011 Medium Peated is a single malt from Campbeltown, distilled in 2011 and matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks. It is made with traditional cast-iron mash tuns and has a smoky, maritime character.
The nose brings warming peat smoke with crisp green apple and grilled pineapple, followed by creamy vanilla and melted brown sugar. A burst of lemon moves into a mineral, coastal note, with caramel and sea salt. The finish is a long glow of smoke.
