A 14 year old single cask Glenallachie from 2008, matured in a Chinquapin oak barrel made from oak grown in the Northern Ozark region of Missouri. It comes from the eighth batch of single casks selected for the UK, bottled in 2022 at 57.2% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose has toasted oats, liquorice and heather honey, with cardamom, black truffle and ginger snaps. On the palate come spiced heather honey, aniseed and strawberry jam, then walnut and pecan, with ginger and cinnamon on the finish.
