Glencadam – 15 Year Old 2007 Reserva de Jerez Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish

Glencadam Reserva de Jerez is a 15 year old Highland single malt distilled in 2007. It was matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks from the distillery's dunnage warehouses, then finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Jerez, Spain. The sherry wood is a subtle influence, adding depth to the Glencadam character. The nose is rich and pronounced, with praline, roasted nuts, golden syrup and candied peel. The palate is sweet, with maple pecan Danish, sultanas, milk chocolate, heather honey, nutmeg and oak spice. The finish is warming, with apple strudel and custard tart, fading to sweet spices and espresso.
