The whisky begins in American oak, moves through a sequence of further casks and ends in Port pipes, which add to its fruit character.
The nose offers red berries, soft vanilla, honeyed malt and subtle oak with a delicate Port sweetness. The palate brings raspberry, plum, creamy toffee, gentle spice and polished oak. The finish is long, warming and fruity, with lingering berry sweetness and light spice.
