This Glencadam is a 24 year old single cask single malt from 1998, matured entirely in a single bourbon barrel, number 289. It is built around a balance of oak and vanilla.
The nose is vanilla crème brûlée and honeyed pear, with a hint of toasted oak and subtle citrus zest. The palate is rich and creamy, with caramelised toffee, spiced apple and a touch of butterscotch, moving into citrus and warming spices. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering vanilla and a whisper of oak spice.
