Glencadam – Origin 1825 Single Malt

Origin 1825 is a single malt from Glencadam, a distillery that opened in 1825. The name marks that date. It marries whisky matured in American white-oak bourbon barrels with whisky finished in Spanish Oloroso sherry butts, a selection of casks chosen specially for this edition. The nose offers sweet orchard fruits, blossom honey, baked apples and a little cinnamon. On the palate come fresh banana and pear, barley sugar, dried pineapple and soft cake spices. The finish is mellow, with pear drops, lemon drizzle cake and candied peel.
