Glencadam Reserva Andalucía is a Highland single malt from Glencadam Distillery, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a nod to the distillery's link with the sherry region of Andalucía in Spain, and is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
Sherry butts from the distillery's dunnage warehouses were married with bourbon casks, then the whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry butts from Andalucía. The result is rich and sherry-forward, with the fruitiness of the Glencadam spirit balanced by sultana and sweet spice.
The nose offers ripe soft fruits, nougat and oaky vanilla over fresh fudge. The palate is creamy, with sultanas, orchard fruits and toffee apple, and the finish is long and silky.
