Glencarrick 10 Year Old is a small batch single malt bottled at 46% as part of the Core Range from Claxton's.
The name is a tribute to the Glencarrick distillery, which closed long ago in the Lowlands. The whisky is styled after the taste of a historic Lowland Scotch and was matured in sherry casks and ex-Islay whisky casks.
Tasting notes mention baked apples with plenty of spice, followed by marzipan and carob, a stand-in for cocoa.
