Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon
This is a 15-year-old Highland single malt from GlenDronach, distilled on 20 June 2002 and bottled in 2017 at 54.7% ABV. It was aged in a single Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheon, which gave 678 bottles, and comes in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to GlenDronach Batch 16, a group of single cask releases chosen by the distillery's Master Blender, Rachel Barrie. The colour is antique bronze. The nose opens with cranberry, orange and roast chestnut, with linseed and traces of shallot, then turns sweeter with warm oak and toasted vanilla pod. The palate has dark fruit and nut chocolate, orange cream cake and treacle toffee, and the finish recalls good sherry.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
