A 15-year-old Glendronach Highland single malt, matured entirely in sherry casks and bottled at 40% in a one-litre bottle. It is full amber in colour.
The nose starts with raisins, prunes and herbs, with notes of old wine barrels and mushrooms. On the palate come dry raisins, mocha, chocolate, cherries in eau-de-vie and toffee, in an old-fashioned style that sometimes comes close to brandy.
The finish is clean, with touches of raspberry jam and dark chocolate.
