This is a 29 year old single malt from Glendronach, the Highland distillery near Huntly in Aberdeenshire. It was distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2023 at a cask strength of 52.4%, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited single cask release of 651 bottles.
The whisky matured in a single ex-Oloroso sherry cask for almost three decades, which gives it a richly sherried character.
The tasting notes describe stewed fruit, black forest gâteau, candied orange and caramel.
