GlenDronach Ode to the Embers is a peated Highland single malt, bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle. It takes its inspiration from traditional peat-dried barley and Highland hearth fires, pairing gentle peat smoke with the distillery's sherried richness.
The whisky is matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks and bottled without chill filtration.
The nose is dark fruit, wood smoke, cocoa, toasted oak and warming spice. The palate is rich and powerful, with black cherry, raisin, dark chocolate, charred oak, light peat smoke and spiced honey. The finish is long and warming, with smoke, sweetness and an ember-like char.
