The GlenDronach 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks from Spain, then finished in American oak. It is bottled at 40% without chill-filtration or added colour.
The sherry casks bring dried fruit and Christmas spice, while the American oak adds a creamy vanilla note alongside them.
The nose is rich cereals, raisin, cinnamon and caramelised sugar, with raw ginger and hazelnuts. The palate offers fruit, peel and butter before turning nuttier with spiced raisins. The finish is smoky toffee and nut brittle.
