Glendullan – 1999 15 Year Old The Golden Cask (70cl, 59.8%)

This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt from Glendullan, part of the Golden Cask range. It was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2015 from cask CM220 at 59.8%, in a 70cl bottle. The outturn was 186 bottles, and it is not chill filtered, only coarse filtered to remove cask debris. The notes describe a sweet, honeyed and floral character, with a delicate taste and a pleasant mouthfeel. There is no smoke, though a suggestion of earthiness comes through. The aftertaste is good and the finish long.
