This is an 11 year old Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society under the code 1.293. It is a Two to One bottling: two casks from the same distillery, a first fill American oak Pedro Ximenez hogshead and a first fill Spanish oak oloroso hogshead, were married before bottling. Only 399 bottles were produced. The whisky is bottled at cask strength in the Society's green bottle. The nose shows polished mahogany, rapeseed oil, manilla envelopes and hazelnut skins, with a touch of rye spice and fresh dill. Water brings out toasted coconut, strawberry jam sponge and rosewater. The palate opens with sugar puff sweetness, runny honey, maple syrup and rum and raisin fudge.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
