This is a 13 year old Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as cask 1.295 under the name Dance in the Air. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky spent its first 10 years in a first fill bourbon barrel before moving to a second fill Spanish oak oloroso hogshead for the rest of its maturation.
The nose offers buttery cinnamon toast, dried figs and elegant spices, with lime juice, strawberries and butterscotch once water is added. The palate turns nutty, with orange and huckleberry taffy and a pinch of hops.
