This is a Glenfarclas single malt from Speyside, distilled in 2003 and matured for 18 years in a single fourth fill butt, number 1970. It was bottled in July 2022 at natural cask strength as part of the Family Casks series, the Summer 2022 release, with 593 bottles filled. With a fourth fill butt, the cask influence is minimal and the spirit takes the lead. The whisky is described as showing orchard fruits, honeyed malt and subtle oak.
