Glenfarclas 12 Year Old is a single malt from a family-run distillery in Banffshire, a mile from the River Spey, with water drawn from springs on the Ben Rinnes range. Glenfarclas matures its malts almost solely in sherry butts.
The colour is a vibrant amber-gold. The nose is fresh and light, with sherried fruit, spicy sweetness and a hint of sappy oak. The palate is full-bodied, with sherried fruit, oak, a touch of peat and sweetness. The finish is long and flavoursome, with lingering spice.
