A 12 year old single malt from Glenfiddich in Dufftown, Speyside, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV.
The whisky matures for at least 12 years in American bourbon casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The bourbon casks bring soft vanilla and caramel, the sherry casks dried fruit and fine spice. The two are then married for some months in large Portuguese oak tuns.
The nose is crisp green apple and ripe pear, with white flowers, creamy toffee and vanilla. The palate offers honey cake and candied lemon peel, and the finish is clean and long, with baked apple and vanilla pod.
