Glenfiddich 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from Scotland, here in a 1 litre bottle. It matures for at least twelve years in ex-bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry casks, and the whiskies are then brought together in a Solera vat.
The bourbon casks contribute vanilla, pear and light citrus, while the sherry casks add dried fruit and soft spice.
The nose is fresh, with ripe pear, green apple and citrus, then honey and vanilla. The palate brings juicy pear, sweet apple and creamy vanilla. The finish is medium in length, soft and lightly spicy.
