This is a 12-year-old Speyside single malt from Glenfiddich. It is a marriage of whiskies matured in Oloroso sherry casks and in traditional oak whisky casks.
The distillery stands in the Glenfiddich valley and was built in 1886 by William Grant and his family. It is still owned by the Grant family.
The nose is malty and lively, with orchard fruit, honey and a faint floral, mineral note, and citrus develops over time. The palate is light, floral and spicy, and very smooth. The finish is sweet and oily, with a hint of oak and fruit.
