Glenfiddich – 15 Year Old 2026 Mid-Autumn Edition

Glenfiddich 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 2026 Mid-Autumn Edition. The distillery was founded in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown. The whisky is matured for at least 15 years in European oak sherry casks, American bourbon casks and new oak casks, then combined in a large Oregon pine solera vat. That vat has been in use since 1998 and has never been fully emptied, as at most half is drawn off at each bottling before it is refilled. The whisky then rests in smaller solera oak casks before bottling. The nose has heather honey, vanilla fudge, dark ripe fruit and a little cinnamon. The palate is silky, with sherry-cask almond, cinnamon and ginger, then oak and pear. The finish is long and gently sweet, with elegant oak.
