Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Vat 03 is a Speyside single malt from the Perpetual Collection. It is built on a perpetual vat that is never emptied completely, so each new batch builds on the one before.
The whisky is matured for at least fifteen years in American bourbon casks, European sherry casks and new oak casks, then brought together in the vat.
The nose offers honey, ripe pear, orange and dried fruit, with raisins, cinnamon and almond. On the palate, honey, vanilla and pear lead to dried apricot, caramel, soft spice and a little orange peel. The finish is long and warm.
