Glenfiddich – 18 Year Old Small Batch Reserve

Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Small Batch Reserve is a Speyside single malt matured for at least eighteen years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and American bourbon casks. Only a small number of casks go into each batch. The bourbon casks contribute vanilla, toffee and ripe apple, while the sherry casks add dried fruit, raisins and warm spice. The nose is baked apple, dried apricots and orange peel, with caramel, cinnamon, oak and toasted almonds. On the palate there is ripe apple, dried fruit and creamy vanilla, then caramel, cinnamon, oak and a hint of nuts. The finish is long, warm and elegant, with dried fruit, vanilla and oak.
