Glenfiddich 18 Year Old Vat 04 is a Speyside single malt from the Perpetual Collection. It is matured for at least eighteen years in American bourbon casks and European sherry casks, then married in a Perpetual Vat, which is continually topped up so that each batch builds on the last.
The nose has ripe apple, orange, dried figs and honey, with vanilla, caramel, roasted almonds and light oak. The palate is full and silky, with honey, ripe pear and vanilla, then dried fruit, caramel, orange peel and spice. The finish is long and warm, with honey, oak, dried fruit and soft spice.
