Glenfiddich – 18 Years Old (70cl)

Glenfiddich 18 Years Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. It matured in Spanish oak casks that held oloroso sherry and in American oak ex-bourbon casks. The batches are numbered individually and are vatted in small batches of no more than 150 casks, so the Malt Master can control the aroma and flavour. The nose is lightly sweet, with baked apple, nutmeg, raisins, sherry and oak. The palate is silky, and layers of hazelnut, almond and citrus build, with spice and a noticeable wood character. The finish is medium and consistent, with a slight peppery bite at the end.
