An older bottling of Glenfiddich 8 Year Old, labelled Pure Malt and bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It comes in the triangular bottle that was designed in 1956 and first used for Glenfiddich in 1961.
Glenfiddich sold different age statements in different markets during the 1970s and 1980s. This 8 year old was sold mainly in Italy, while the US had a 10 year old and Japan a 10 and a 12 year old. All of them were replaced by a non-age statement expression in the 1990s.
