Glenfiddich – Fire & Cane #04

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane #04 is a Speyside single malt from the Experimental Series. It combines a lightly peated malt with a finish in Latin American rum casks. The whisky first matured in American oak bourbon casks before moving to the rum casks. The rum adds a soft sweetness alongside the gentle peat smoke. The nose offers campfire smoke, ripe pineapple and sweet toffee, followed by vanilla, baked apple and light spice. On the palate it is full and creamy, with vanilla, caramel and tropical fruit, and a gentle smokiness that comes forward slowly. Cinnamon, oak and brown sugar sit underneath. The finish is long, warm and lightly smoky.
