Glenfiddich – Fire & Cane (70cl, 43%)

Glenfiddich Fire & Cane is a peated single malt from the distillery's Experimental Series, first unveiled in mid-2018. Malt master Brian Kinsman finished some of the distillery's peated malt for three months in rum casks. Those rum casks came from a variety of South American countries, chosen to sit alongside the firm peat at the heart of the whisky. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The nose is soft peat smoke with toffee, zesty fresh fruit and spice. On the palate there is oak, toffee, sharp green fruit and baked apple with soft smoke, and the finish is lingering smoke and sweetness.
