Glenfiddich Gran Reserva 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt that matures for at least twenty-one years in American and European oak casks. It then receives a finish in selected Caribbean rum casks.
The rum casks add brown sugar, vanilla and tropical fruit to the whisky.
The nose offers ripe figs, banana and toffee, with orange peel and honey. The palate is full and creamy, opening with vanilla, caramel and ripe banana before figs, raisins, orange and brown sugar appear. The finish is long and warm, with vanilla, tropical fruit, oak and soft spices.
