Glenfiddich Gran Reserva is a 21 year old single malt in a 70cl bottle, made as a limited edition to mark Lunar New Year. Malt Master Brian Kinsman finished it for four months in casks that previously held Caribbean rum.
The nose has dark brown sugar, orange peel, vanilla, marmalade, manuka honey and chocolate. The palate starts with fruitcake, spice and buttery vanilla, soft at first and then brisk and drying, with pepper and a touch of smoke. The finish is very long, warming and spicy, with dry marmalade.
