Glenfiddich – Project XX #02

Glenfiddich Project XX #02 is a Speyside single malt from the Experimental Series. Twenty whisky experts each chose a favourite cask, and the contents were brought together into a single whisky. The casks include ex-bourbon and sherry casks as well as other oak types. The bourbon casks bring vanilla, honey and orchard fruit, while the sherry casks add raisins, figs and warm spice. The nose is ripe apple, pear and orange, then vanilla, cinnamon, almonds and light oak. On the palate there is sweet vanilla, ripe pear and honey, followed by caramel, dried fruit, cinnamon and subtle oak. The finish is long, warm and refined.
